Postdoctoral Research Associate in T cell biology

An exciting opportunity for a passionate, self-motivated and dynamic postdoctoral research associate with expertise in in vitro models to study autoantigen-specific T cell biology to join Dr. Dominguez-Villar’s laboratory at Imperial College London. 

This post is funded by the Helmsley Charitable Trust. The project will focus on understanding the immunological mechanisms that underlie the natural protection to T1D in individuals with protective HLA allele.

PhD at Imperial College

Students interested in joining the group for their PhD are encouraged to reach out to discuss potential projects. Every year, a number of interesting PhD projects are available. A PhD may be co-supervised by a collaborator at Imperial or outside. Our group is generally interested in the immunological mechanisms underlying human disease with a particular focus in autoimmune and infectious diseases. To get an idea of the type of research done in the group, perusing through the group's publications is a good idea.

We strongly encourage students to get in touch as early as possible (e.g. a year ahead of the envisaged starting date) to discuss potential PhD scholarship and grant applications (for instance through the MS Society or Diabetes UK PhD scholarships schemes). Applications for PhD scholarship schemes have annual deadlines from November to January for start in the following Autumn.
